Biggest Spring Accessory Trends for Men

Sure, Fashion Week was full of gorgeous dresses, flowing frocks, killer heels, shimmering jewelry, and daring makeup…but there were also loads of exciting Spring trends to be found on the menswear front as well! Just feast your eyes on this list of the cream of the men’s accessory crop for Spring 2016!

Slip-on sneakers – The casual footwear trends on the men’s runway were definitely dominated by sleek and stylish slip-on sneakers and loafers. These are so versatile and will work with just about any outfit…even a casual suit…since their look is kept neat sans laces. Choose from canvas, mesh, buckled, classic Converse (laceless), or even studded leather…you can’t lose!

Baseball caps – You might be thinking that baseball caps can’t possibly be anything more than a busy weekend morning’s afterthought to save you from having to style your hair…but this Spring’s ball caps have evolved into so much more. You can opt for a smart tweed, distinguished dark denim, a handsome six-panel, or even a clean “director’s cap.” Each of them will keep you comfortable, but never sloppy.

Long, thin scarves – The transition to Spring often requires a bit more light layering, and that’s why long, thin scarves like these were so popular with designers at Fashion Week. They help a bit of warmth, while stylishly and effortlessly adding color and texture to your wardrobe. Scarves like this neutral linen and cashmere blend, this masculine silk check, this reversible cotton, this colorful paisley silk, or even this epic Alexander McQueen silk skull print would update your look instantly.

Brown suede shoes – Elvis might be slightly disappointed with this trend for men’s Spring accessories…but we sure aren’t. Black leather can sometimes be a tad harsh for Spring, so not only is the brown suede a “lighter” look, but it still manages to add a dressier edge to your outfit. Your choices are so wonderfully varied, but you’re sure to find a favorite among the driving shoe, the moccasin, the buckle slip-on, the loafer, the wingtip, or the classic Oxford.

Round sunglasses – With Spring, so comes the sun. And for that, you’re going to need sunglasses! The trend for shades was all about the round lens, which is not always a universally flattering shape. The good news is that this season’s round lenses were beautifully balanced out with larger lens sizes and wider-set frames. Just a few of the perfect coverings for those peepers include these slim tortoiseshells with ombre smoky lenses, these matte black edges with polarized lenses, these retro and unique wood frames with mirrored polarized lenses, these gleaming gold metal rims with smoky lenses, and this retro, uber-cool pair with a 50s-style browline.
