Knitwear whatever the season

It is a little too early to write off the summer just yet, and we certainly do not want to be getting ready for fall before it is due, but the stores like to prepare us early and so today we are going to go through what is hot and not for the coming knitwear seasons. Knitwear is great because it is so adaptable and is never really off the table, with chunky knits dominating the winter season while fine knits are great all year round. Keep reading to find out a bit more on how to style your knitwear wardrobe, no matter what season you find yourself in.

Knitwear dresses

A knitwear dress is a brilliant all year round essential, brilliantly paired with pantyhose in the winter and a pair of knee high or ankle boots, or in the warmer months paired with heels or sandals. Chunky knits are perfect for cold, winter days while finer knits work brilliantly in warmer weather, and look great with bare legs throughout the summer months and both stripes and printed knitted dresses are great options for a fashionable summer look. Effortlessly stylish, knitted dresses are perfect for either a day or evening outfit.

Cardigans

Whether you need to layer up throughout the cold winter or keep a cool breeze off of you throughout the summer, a cardigan is a great option for both casual and more formal settings. There are many different styles of cardigan which suit the numerous different body shapes we have as women. Chunky knitted cardigans are perfect for the colder weather and look stylish paired over the top of a camisole top. Chunky knits look great paired with skinny jeans and boots, either knee high or ankle boots in the colder weather, and create a relaxed day time look. Knits are not just a winter outfit, and pair fine knits with shorts and over camisoles for a cute summer look. If you are looking to create a more feminine silhouette, a waterfall cardigan with a pulled in or tied waist might work for you. If you have bigger hips and thighs try out a longer, loose fitting cardigan which will help to hide these problem areas.

Sweaters

Colorful or plain lightweight sweaters are a great addition to your summer wardrobe and work well styled either at day or at night. Pair with shorts and sandals for a casual day time summer look, or in the evening with cargo pants and heels for a more put together look. Fine knitted sweaters work great with layering in the winter, paired with jeans or a skirt or, like mentioned above, with shorts throughout the summer months. Oversized knits are very on trend right now, however slim fitted knits are a great staple that never goes out of fashion.
