Summer time for most of us means a lovely break away somewhere sunning filled with lazy days by the beach or lake, meals out and lots of fun times ahead. One thing you do not want to have to worry about is having to pay excess baggage on your suitcase or not being able to fit your things in the car, so follow this fool proof plan to pack your own capsule wardrobe ready for your summer holiday.
T-shirts or camisole tops:
In the day time while you are on summer vacation you will want to keep cool and relaxed and a t-shirt or camisole top will not only look stylish with a pair of shorts but will definitely help keep you not feeling the heat too much. You can pair a t-shirt or camisole with almost any pair of shorts, jeans or a skirt and it will look fantastic.
Shorts:
Shorts are an absolute must in vacation wear and a pair of denim cut off shorts or a pair of bermuda shorts are brilliant capsule wardrobe essential for vacation. If the weather is hot where you are going you will want to stroll around town or relax by the pool in a nice pair of shorts, which look brilliant paired with a loose t-shirt.
Cardigans:
Despite the warmer weather you will want to ensure you have a couple of cardigans to keep you warm if the evenings turn cooler. A smarter cardigan goes well with evening attire such as a dress while you might want something more casual just in case it is needed during the day as well.
Summer dresses:

Shoes:
The key to packing light when it comes to shoes is to select a couple of pairs which will work great with all your outfits, meaning you can mix and match throughout your vacation. Flip flops are great for day time wear, for hitting the beach, relaxing poolside or maybe even hitting some local cafes. Adaptable and great for summer vacations they are also a great budget item so if they only last you one season you will not find yourself too out of pocket. A pair of sandals and/or wedges will work brilliantly throughout your vacation and will look great paired with day time and evening outfits alike. You can wear your summery wedges with shorts for a sophisticated daytime look or paired with a dress for an elegant evening look. Flat sandals look equally as good, with both day time and evening outfits. Pick shoes in a neutral color and they will go with anything and everything. Something comfortable is always essential on vacation, so a pair of espadrilles, canvas shoes or even a pair of sneakers if you plan on being on your feet a lot, sightseeing or maybe even if you plan on hitting the gym or exercising while you are away.
