Style Resolutions for 2016 – Time to Relax

As the first weeks of the New Year trickle away, it’s important to keep the momentum going! You’ve breathed new life into your work wardrobe and your fitness needs, but it’s important not to forget about all-important relaxation. If you get burnt out, all your hard work will be for nothing. So it’s important to take the time you need to recharge your batteries…and we’ve got just the things you’ll need to make sure every minute of your downtime is comfy and cozy as possible!

Tanks, camis, and bras – Here’s an unfortunate little secret about aging, girls. No matter what your cup size, the skin of your chest will stretch and sag. That means support is necessary as much as possible. However, we also know that sleeping in an underwire is a no-no. The solution? Soft yet supportive sleep bras like this, this, and this. You could also opt for a form-fitting cami in a stretch Lycra, like this. But if you are one of those who require a bit more support, try layering the sleep bra with a loose tank. It will give you freedom without too much “freedom.”

Shorts and pants – When it comes to cozy bottoms, it all boils down to what you feel comfortable in…and the climate where you plan to cozy up. You might be one of those who always needs to sleep with one leg out of the covers, no matter how cold it is. If so, a pair of these lovely boxers, or these, will be perfect, since they provide cover without too much confinement. But, you could be one of those who, even with the heat on and a roaring fire, might be too chilly for shorts. That’s where some oh-so-comfy lounge pants come in. There are also those with a closed ankle, like these, which helps to keep out any drafts and keeps the pants from bunching up while you snooze.

Comfy pajamas – It doesn’t get much cozier than a good ol’ pair of pajamas. But are you a classic pajamas type of girl, or a longjohns lover? Or maybe you rather a chic shorts version of the classic set? Again, it largely depends on where you are and what your body temperature can tolerate. And in terms of material, cottons hold heat better than silks and satins, but poly blends and wool are the best at keeping you toasty.

Robes and cardigans – Is there anything better than slipping into a thick, fluffy robe when you emerge from the bath or shower? (well…maybe there are some things that are better than that…but not many). But, if lounging around all lazy Sunday afternoon in your robe doesn’t sound appealing, it would be perfectly acceptable (and wondrously comfy) to wrap yourself in a long, loose cardigan like this, this, or even the classic button-down variety with pockets.

Socks and slippers – In the winter, your body loses heat the fastest through the top of your head and the bottom of your feet. So, keeping those tootsies covered will go a long way to keeping the rest of you cozy as well. These ultra-soft, padded slippers are amazing when you’re lounging around the house, but if you desire a little more traction, opt for pairs like this and this. They give you all the comfort, with the functionality of a shoe. On the other hand, if you don’t want to have to keep kicking off your slippers when you stretch out, socks are the only way to go. These over-the-knee stunners are so sexy and work well with lounging shorts to cover a bit more skin. There are also the cute, fuzzy and fluffy variety, like this and this, which never go out of style!
