Kim Kardashian Says the Kanye Divorce ‘Was a General Difference of Opinions’

Since news broke of the Kim Kardashian/Kanye West split early this year, comments have seemed to come everywhere except the couple. On Thursday, in the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion with host Andy Cohen, Kardashian spoke vaguely about the divorce (she filed in February).

“If I asked you point blank, ‘Why did your marriage not work?’ what would you attribute it to?,” Cohen asked, per People.

Kardashian responded: “I honestly don’t think I would even say it here on TV, but it was not like, one specific thing that happened on either part,” she said. “I think it was just a general difference of opinions on a few things that led to this decision. And like, in no way would I want someone to think that I didn’t give it my all, or not really try. You know, we have four kids. There’s nothing that I think parents would want more than to see, or even kids want more, than to see their parents together. I grew up and I lived that myself.”

She added that she and West have an “amazing co-parenting relationship.”

She added:

“I respect him so much and you know, that was my friend first, first and foremost, for a long time, so I can’t see that going away,” she said. “I will forever be Kanye’s biggest fan. He’s the father of my kids, Kanye will always be family.”

Cohen brought up the rumor that Kardashian is dating CNN’s Van Jones.

“Van texted me and was like, ‘This rumor has gotten me so many dates and I’m so grateful,’” Kardashian said, adding that she is not dating Jones, or Maluma, whom she is also rumored to be seeing.

West, on the other hand, has been seeing Irina Shayk; they have reportedly been seeing each other for months.

“Kanye and Irina connected recently when they were both in New York City,” a source told E!. “They met up one night and had chemistry and hit it off. It’s very casual and they have only been in touch for about a month. Kanye has expressed he doesn’t want anything serious, but likes Irina’s vibe.”

The reunion will be followed with a part two on Sunday.
