Denim: It Is Fashionable Again

For a while, wearing denim wasn’t necessarily considered the height of fashion. Instead, many people looked down upon those who wore denim as “unfashionable” and sad. Those days are long gone! Now, more and more people are wearing denim every day and it allows them to show who they are while remaining comfortable and stylish.

Of course, denim is great because it isn’t as delicate as other fabrics so you can actually live in it. So how can you wear denim and keep it stylish? Let’s take a look:

Embrace the Feeling

One way to make sure that you stay comfortable in your denim? Just go for it! Instead of trying to dress your denim up all the time, you can relax in knowing that you can have fun with it as well. Put some patches on your denim jacket or wear some great bell bottoms with some fun touches. Fashion doesn’t always have to be serious.

Go Dark

Denim doesn’t always have to be blue and bright, instead it can be somewhat dark and brooding as well. When you darken denim, you take away some of the patterns which is unfortunate, but you can also make any silhouette seem more professional and fashionable.

Just make sure that the jeans are made extremely well if you do decide to go dark, because cheaper denim pants will obviously fade and fray, making you look cheap.

Or Go Light

Another fantastic option is to go extremely light with your jeans – like white. White jeans aren’t the best choice for everyone, but if you can pull them off, they are a great look. Go for white jeans that are made well and with high quality materials. If the construction isn’t good, it will be quite obvious from a block away.

Even more importantly, make sure that your jeans are well tailored and fit you – you never want white jeans to be too tight.

As Flats

Denim flats might seem a bit uncomfortable, but that is actually very far from the truth. Instead, they are quite comfortable and wear really well, even if you are on your feet all day long. Make sure to get a pair of denim flats in a different color than the pants that you will be wearing, as you don’t want to be too matchy matchy. Go for a little embellishment to get something really different or even go for denim accents without going completely denim.

Still, remember that denim heels aren’t always a great idea, but flats are a lot of fun.

Bring the denim back out into the light – it is time to get comfortable!
