Maternity Style on a Budget

Maternity Style on a Budget!

Congratulations, you are going to have a brand new little baby soon, and while you are probably feeling a bit unwell with morning sickness and general tiredness of growing a baby you will also be noticing your expanding body. Over the coming months your body will change and adapt to your growing baby. Here are some great maternity items to invest in without breaking thee bank.

  1. Good pair of Jeans: For when you are out and about you will want to get yourself a great pair of maternity jeans. You can choose one’s with a stretchy stomach band which either go above your bump or below your bump, depending on personal preference.

  1. Comfortable Pants: The more pregnant you get the more uncomfortable you get, so be sure to pick up some comfortable pants other than jeans. A great pair of maternity leggings or maternity cargo pants work brilliantly with a camisole or maternity top and help you feel more comfortable the bigger you get.

  1. Relaxed T-Shirt: If you are pregnant through the summer months you might find yourself feeling a little on the warm side, particularly if you are quite far along through your pregnancy. A loose, flowing maternity t-shirt will help you keep cool and look stylish all at the same time.

  1. A couple of maternity tops: If you work in an office or have events you might need to dress a little more formal for you might want to invest in a couple of maternity tops to see you through. Some great styles for your bump include a wrap-over top and belted tops which belt over your bump.

  1. Maternity Camisoles: These are a lifesaver, as maternity camisoles pretty much go with any outfit and will grow with your bump. You can wear these as the base of your outfit and wear some non-maternity wear over the top, for example a cardigan or an unbuttoned shirt. This means you do not have to spend the earth on a whole new maternity wardrobe and can just adapt what you have.

  1. A great Maternity dress: If you have any events coming up while you are pregnant you will want to invest in a good maternity dress. There are a number of different style options, from slim fitting maternity bodycon dresses to show off your bump, to a flowy and discreet maternity dress.

  1. Swimwear: If you enjoy swimming or you are taking a vacation while pregnant do not forget to invest in some great swimwear. There are plenty of options from swimsuits and bikini’s all to suit your growing stomach.

  1. Pyjama’s: One of the items you cannot live without is a good pair of maternity pyjamas.

  1. A winter coat: If you find yourself heavily pregnant through the winter and you live somewhere particularly cold you will want to invest in a good winter coat. This will help to keep you warm and have the added benefit of doing up around your tummy too.
