Five Ways to Warm Up Your Bedroom Décor for Fall

As fall transitions us to cooler months, we’re partnering with our favorite bloggers to show us how they style this season’s hottest trends. From fashion tips and makeup trends to hairstyles and home décor, we’re excited to see how these stylistas gear up for autumn weather. This week, we’re welcoming Kristin of Kristin Jones to share five ways to warm up a bedroom space for the fall season using the MyTemp bedding line.

You guys, I’m so excited to share this post with you! It’s something I’ve been working on for quite some time now. Meijer has been my go-to for so long and now that I’ve been introduced to their home décor lines, I’m officially hooked. The quality is amazing and you cannot beat the prices!

Our bedroom is one of the last rooms we’ve tackled décor-wise in our home, mainly because I just didn’t know what I wanted to do there. So when Meijer asked me to style our bedroom using their fall décor and MyTemp sheets, I was GAME.

One thing I really do love about the MyTemp sheet set is I can use them on my bed all year ’round. Especially with the fall we’re having – where it’s 60 degrees one day and 90 the next – it’s so nice to have sheets that can help regulate your body temperature while you sleep. P.S. They’re extremely soft, which is a major plus!

This was our before…

…and our after!

When I went to Meijer, I was absolutely blown away by the amazing pieces they had in-store. I mean, look at that side table!

When re-decorating our bedroom, I wanted to keep the bones and staples in our room white. So, I played with color using simple items like pillows, rugs (by the way, this rug was less than $20. Yeah, go run. Like, now.) and greenery.

P.S. I found this buffalo check pillow for under $10. It was a no-brainer – I had to have it!

When styling your home décor for fall, I advise you to keep your staples simple and focus on smaller ways to warm up the room, like:

1. Grab Throw Pillows That Are ‘Fall’ Themed

I know throw pillows can be a bit pricey, but the ones I found at Meijer were super reasonable. Like I said, I found that buffalo check pillow for cheap, which makes it easy to switch up your bedroom style for the season.

2. Switch Out Your Frames For Darker Ones

I grabbed this rustic frame from Meijer, and think it adds a lot of warmth to the space rather than having a plain white one.

3. Grab a Comfy Knit Throw

Like I said before, I love using color to warm up a space. When I saw this burnt orange throw, I knew I’d found the perfect item. It instantly creates an autumn vibe by emulating the colors of changing leaves – I absolutely love it!

4. Decorate With Gourds

This is probably the #1 thing that screams fall. These gourds are so cheap and the best way to make a room feel a bit more fall-ish!

5. Anything Knit

Whether it’s cream, blush, white or the navy shade above, a knit pattern or texture gives off all the fall vibes, instantly creating cozy, warm room.

I hope you guys liked these tips and this small room transformation. I’m still so blown away by the pieces Meijer has curated, and I had so much fun shopping at the store!
