Classy, Sassy Ways to Add Animal Print to Your Wardrobe

Adding animal print to your wardrobe can be a difficult task for many people. Why? For so many years, animal print has been called “tacky” or over the top. Depending on where you live, someone wearing animal print is usually mocked as being from another specific place – for example, many people believe that those who live in New Jersey are likely to wear animal print.

However, the truth is that animal print is supremely easy to wear and mix into your wardrobe in a classy way. Here are a few suggestions on how to incorporate it into what you already have:

Choose Unique Colors

So many believe that if you choose something that is animal print, it has to be the color that the animal is – that’s not true. Instead, you can wear something that is in a unique color, like a jewel-toned wrap dress or something that is slightly muted from what you would find in nature.

Be careful with the prints that you choose on certain colors, because you will have people looking extra close at what you are wearing, so make sure that it is of extremely high quality.

Alternatively, Go for Muted Tones

If the idea of wearing brighter colors with your animal prints doesn’t quite catch your interest, wearing animal prints in a more muted tone might be the best option for you. Choose something neutral, like a black pair of jeans with embossing in the pattern or even a white bag that has the animal print stamped onto it.

This is definitely the better option if you are trying to wear your animal print in a more formal location like at your job or on a date.

Invest in Your Feet

Many people wear animal print on their feet – even the biggest fashion lines add animal print to their shoes for an added kick. If you like to wear solid colored outfits or you aren’t too adventurous, adding a great pair of heels in an animal print or even a cute pair of flats can really help to add an extra level to your outfit.

What you really don’t want to do is get extremely cheap, shiny shoes in an animal print. These tend to look up extremely poorly made and tacky, which is the opposite of what you want.

Try it For Casual

If you aren’t up to wearing animal print to work or someone that requires more of an outfit, you can try to add it more to your casual wardrobe. A simple t-shirt with an animal on it or a pair of sneakers with some animal print patterns on it can upgrade your casual wear and really help you feel like you are still unique and fashionable, but not overdressed.
