Fashion Inspiration: 1970s Tie Die

One of the biggest and boldest trends of all time has reemerged on the fashion catwalks this season: tie die. Now, this isn’t necessarily the psychedelic colorings and stylings of the 1970s. Instead, it is something a bit softer and more deliberate. In the end, this makes it much more wearable.

Swimwear

With warmer weather beckoning your name, you probably want to wear something that is just as springy and fun as you feel. When you add some tie die coloring to your swimming suit will help you to feel comfortable and fashionable while still feeling youthful and fun. Tie die on swimwear doesn’t tend to be as in your face and it can even help to hide some of those places you feel insecure about when at the pool or the beach.

Of course, remember that you want to ensure that all parts of your swimwear are lined so that you don’t show things you don’t want to show when you go swimming.

Graphic Tees

If you aren’t the type to include tie die in your office building or in a professional setting, don’t be afraid of wearing it during your casual afternoons. The easiest (and most classic) way to wear tie die is to wear it on graphic tees. You can either buy shirts that are already colored or you can do your own for a more personalized twist.

On Your Feet

If you aren’t bold enough to wear tie die on a daily basis on your person, you should consider adding it to your footwear collection. There are plenty of options that you can choose from OR you can make your own. Remember that footwear doesn’t have to be expensive, so you can go a little funky or funny with it and still stay in fashion.

Funky Dresses

One of the best ways to wear tie die is to use a more formalized backdrop and make it more fashionable: for example, take a simple wrap dress and make it tie die. You can also have a tie die pattern that looks more deliberate or something that is more fun. You get to decide what you want.

Of course, there are so many ways that you can play this style, so you don’t have to worry about going overboard or being too out there with the tie die. After all, it is just about having fun.

Will you go crazy for tie die this season?
